Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Comnto ('we', 'our', or 'us') collects, uses, and protects personal information when you access or use our services ('Service').
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described herein.
This policy applies globally and is intended to comply with data protection and privacy regulations applicable in various jurisdictions, including but not limited to the GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant international standards.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and maintain the Service. This may include personal data and technical information automatically collected through normal operation.
Information collected directly from users may include:
- Basic account details such as name, username, and email address provided during registration.
- Comment data and any uploaded images or media shared through the platform.
- Site configuration and moderation data necessary for managing user-generated content.
In addition, we may automatically collect limited technical data, such as browser type, operating system, and general usage logs, solely for service functionality and security purposes. No personally identifying analytics are used.
How We Use Information
Data is used to operate and maintain the Service, deliver its features, prevent abuse, ensure system integrity, and perform minimal analytics to monitor service reliability.
We do not sell or use collected data for targeted advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Users may request deletion or correction of their personal data at any time by contacting our support team through the provided channels.
Advertising and Monetization
The Free plan may include third-party advertisements. Comnto does not control or take responsibility for how third-party advertisers collect or use data.
Sites operated under paid plans will not display ads to their visitors.
If you use the Free plan, you should review the applicable third-party ad network policies. You can opt out of advertising by upgrading to any paid tier.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or intentionally share personal data with third parties.
However, the Service uses external infrastructure and service providers for hosting, content delivery, and related functions. These providers may process or store data as part of their normal operations in accordance with their own terms and policies.
We may also disclose limited information if required to comply with applicable laws, lawful government requests, or to protect the security and integrity of our systems.
Data Retention
Comments and related data are retained as long as the site owner maintains their account and associated site. When a site is deleted, all related data is permanently removed within 3 months.
We may retain limited records for backup, fraud prevention, and legal compliance where necessary.
Your Rights
Users may have certain rights concerning their personal data under applicable laws, such as the ability to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of their information.
We will review and respond to valid requests in accordance with the data protection laws that apply to the requester and to the extent technically and legally feasible.
Requests can be submitted through our contact page or support email.
Data Security
We use trusted, large-scale cloud providers that employ industry-standard security practices to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we continuously monitor and improve our measures to reduce risks.
Site Owner Data Access
Site owners have the ability to download a backup of all or some of the content associated with their site.
Providing access to this backup does not constitute sharing personal data with third parties, as the site owner is the original controller of the content.
Site owners are responsible for how they store, manage, and protect any downloaded data.
Children’s Privacy
Comnto is not directed to children under 18 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Users under this age should not submit any personal information. If we discover that a child’s data has been collected without parental consent, it will be promptly deleted.
We maintain moderation standards to ensure all user-generated content remains appropriate and safe for general audiences.
International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure may process or store data in different countries. These locations may not have the same data protection standards as your country of residence.
Regardless of where data is processed, we take reasonable steps to ensure that data is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice.
Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised 'Last Updated' date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
No update to this policy shall create any new legal obligation or liability on Comnto beyond what is expressly stated herein.
